Anyone else experimented? (or mayhaps data-mined, even?) Feelin pretty curious about this, even if it hasn't been my problem yet. Not super tactical).ĭev's still haven't weighed in apparently, so. maybe Countdown does a hidden RNG roll to prime the attack? If so, maybe you just got unlucky, rather than it being a bug (which if it is some "random roll to see if they swing for 125", I'd def have to agree with you that, like. So why/how one leapt to blasting you on turn two, I'm yet unsure. weird one went to smack you after no more than 2 ticks when I couldn't get them to trigger it with twice that. I let both of them live doing this 2 rounds straight, and they still didn't swing on turn three (passive dmg killed em after that. The core of the game here mimics Slay the Spire very closely, but adds in some really clever wrinkles that bring a fresh feeling to the formula. Thing is, the hover-text is low on details on how this actually works, and I can't say it's exactly intuitive. Indies’ Lies is a very good game, but also one that feels like it hasn’t fully reached all its potential. Aight so save scummed Reminiscence to fight that group, and I think it comes down to the fact they have some ability called "Countdown", where they seem to waste their turn, and presumably are "charging" up to a big whammy like you got hit with.
